It's another Listener Mail episode on High on Home Grown, and this week we've got a brilliant mix of practical growing questions, cannabis experiences, controversial opinions and, of course, some important biscuit-related business.
We start with a follow-up on amending living soil, asking whether it's actually better to wait until a new seedling has established itself before adding amendments, rather than potentially making freshly amended soil too "hot" for young plants. We also tackle a common concern for coco growers using organic inputs: why does mould sometimes appear in the growing medium before the seedling has even broken the surface? We discuss what might be happening and when growers should, and shouldn't, be worried.
The panel also takes on the question of outdated cannabis growing advice, looking at some of the common tips that have been repeated online for years and asking whether they still hold up with what we know today. We also share some of the biggest mistakes we've made during our own growing journeys and, more importantly, what those mistakes taught us.
Away from the grow room, we discuss dry mouth after taking edibles, whether dose and timing could play a role, and answer Lobby's question about our favourite cannabis extracts. And naturally, following last week's Jaffa Cake controversy, we return to the subject of biscuits, this time discussing everyone's favourite dunkable treats.
FreeNugz also returns with another wonderfully random question: if you could become a master of any musical instrument, which one would you choose and why?
Another relaxed episode full of useful information, personal experiences, community questions and the usual High on Home Grown chaos.
